New BNSF Logo and paint11 Mar 2005 23:16 GMT7
Not long ago someone mentioned the new BNSF logo under consideration.
Apparently it is now on some locomotives. If you haven't seen it look here
http://forums.railfan.net/Images/BNSF/BNSF_7687.jpg  It seems very few
people like the new scheme. But then had this been the logo and ...
Walthers oilwell pump speed11 Mar 2005 23:07 GMT28
I just installed the motor unit on my Walthers Horsehead Oilwell, and it
pumps much too fast -- at least compared to the units around here. Is
there any way to slow a motor electronically without destroying it? An
adjustable speed control [like a dimmer switch] would be perfect ...
Shared trackage rights...11 Mar 2005 22:58 GMT8
Now that I know early in the diesel period you probably wouldn't see UP GP7s
lashed up with MP or WP GP7s, is it safe to say that before the UP gobbled
up these other roads, that they all shared at least some trackage rights? So
that it wouldn't be unusual to see a UP consist on ...

DCC circuit breakers11 Mar 2005 14:04 GMT7
I have many years of experience with DC, but I'm now learning the DCC
game. I've been running on our local club layout using DCC for about a
year now. I have recently purchased a Digitrax "Empire Builder" set for
my home layout. I have a question about 'power districts', or the
Ribble bus info11 Mar 2005 11:48 GMT10
As my layout is set in Cumberland in the late 50s I need a couple of  Ribble
buses. Does anyone know if EFE or Corgi (or anyone else) has produced such a
model?

say It is the best.

easy money in 30 days11 Mar 2005 04:09 GMT1
MAKING MONEY I found this on a bulletin board and decided to try it. A
little while back, I was browsing through newsgroups and came across an
article similar to this that said you could make thousands of dollars
within weeks with only an initial investment of $6.00! So I thought,
Looking for specific Lionel/Learning Curve (Brio compatible) train car11 Mar 2005 04:00 GMT2
I guess this is a "WTB".  I am looking for a couple of specific Lionel brand
name, made by Learning Curve train cars that are Brio/Thomas compatible.  I
was told by Learning Curve that they discontined their Lionel line of this
type.  There are two different cars I am looking for ...
White Metal Castings11 Mar 2005 02:52 GMT2
I just received some metal castings from Scale Structures Limited via
Walthers.  The only instructions mentioned some other "Walthers Miniature
Cabinetmaker's Manual" which I didn't get.  ;-(   I emailed Walthers. But...
Can someone provide me instructions or suggestions on ...
Pulse Power--with a fan!11 Mar 2005 02:23 GMT3
I just rewired an old MRC HO powerpack into a transistorized throttle.
The new low speed control of my locos is very smooth, but I can't avoid
that little jackrabbit jump since the output is very pure DC.
I tried a little experiment.  Don't ask me how I thought of it but this
HO Sound/DCC noob FAQ?11 Mar 2005 01:38 GMT1
After years in N scale, I've finally got a nice size
room to build a new layout. I was torn between
N and HO but then a light blinked on in my head:
