Thomas in the US05 Apr 2005 03:34 GMT12
Sorry if this is the wrong group but....
Is Thomas the Tank Engine such as the one used at
http://www.tvrail.com/dowt/TVRM_PhotoAlbum/default.htm
actually a real coal fired loco? The buffers in the photos don't look real,
Temagami Station05 Apr 2005 00:13 GMT6
Can anyone tell me whether or not this operation is alive.  There was an ad
in MR January 2005 issue on page 22 and I have tried contacting them since
to no avail.  Since I'm not anywhere near them location wise, I must rely on
someone as a proxy.  Any information is appreciated. ...
Athearn Bulb Replacement04 Apr 2005 22:04 GMT3
I am thinking about replacing the bulb in a Athearn HO blue box engine with
a miniature bulb to the shell.  I will probably be converting the engine to
DCC in the future.  Has any one done this and any ideas on how to do this?
Can folks identify the super detailing on this please?04 Apr 2005 22:01 GMT8
Hi again all
I am hoping to super detail a couple of locos to this standard and am hoping
someone might either have done similar or know (if) where I can get the bits
to do this. It really appeals to me in this form.
Disassembling a Bachmann 6604 Apr 2005 21:31 GMT8
Trying to get the Bodyshell off a Bachmann 66 - so far without luck. I'm
trying the 4 screws either end of the fuel tank and though they seem to
be turning I'm not getting anywhere. Is there anyone who's removed a
body from one of these yet?
Anybody read the Guardian re the EC threat about OO?04 Apr 2005 16:38 GMT9
I think it would be interesting, if not for the date, and the Reporters
name. :-)
Here's a (purported) cut and paste:
From the British newspaper The Guardian.
2nd request: Resistors for Athearn mini-bulbs04 Apr 2005 15:57 GMT2
Didn't get a response to my question and will pose it again (remember please
to answer the question rather than simply posing alternatives)...
I just wanted to make sure I'm using the right rating on my resistors that
will be used inline with Athearn Genesis mini-bulbs (as found in ...
Old Rivarossi Cab Forward04 Apr 2005 15:45 GMT2
I Just obtained an HO Rivarossi AC-4 Cab Forward engine from an old
collection and am having trouble taking it apart. Does anyone have a
diagram showing how to separate the body from the chassis and motor
drive system. I've tried the Rivarossi site and it is under construction

Pacific National Decals04 Apr 2005 05:04 GMT3
I need some help on this please.............I hope I did not dream this but,
was it mentioned in some publication that a decal set is released that will
allow the putting of "Pacific National" wording on the NR's for the interim
letting era. I also thought that they will only be ...
Utility Lines??04 Apr 2005 02:55 GMT6
On my previous layout, I never got around to a level of detail that
would incorporate utility poles and and wires.  What do most of you
do about such things?  Ignore them compeletely?  Model the poles and
forget about the wires?  Go for the whole thing?  And if the last,

IHC Hobby03 Apr 2005 23:22 GMT4
Hi all, new member of this group and was wondering if anyone had
experience with IHC Hobby. I see that they are offering a 4-6-4 Hudson
with a free 0-8-0 switcher in the april MR. Magazine for $149.98 and was
wondering if it is worth the price.
Additition to Wizzzer's survey03 Apr 2005 23:20 GMT15
I was very interested  to read about the size, scale and location of  the
everyone's layouts. Since we often have discussions about larger
locomotives, pulling power, big radius curves and the major railroads I had
assumed that many of you had large layouts. Its comforting to ...
