actually a real coal fired loco? The buffers in the photos don't look real,

Can anyone tell me whether or not this operation is alive.  There was an ad
in MR January 2005 issue on page 22 and I have tried contacting them since
to no avail.  Since I'm not anywhere near them location wise, I must rely on
someone as a proxy.  Any information is appreciated. ...

I am thinking about replacing the bulb in a Athearn HO blue box engine with
a miniature bulb to the shell.  I will probably be converting the engine to
DCC in the future.  Has any one done this and any ideas on how to do this?

I am hoping to super detail a couple of locos to this standard and am hoping
someone might either have done similar or know (if) where I can get the bits
to do this. It really appeals to me in this form.

Trying to get the Bodyshell off a Bachmann 66 - so far without luck. I'm
trying the 4 screws either end of the fuel tank and though they seem to
be turning I'm not getting anywhere. Is there anyone who's removed a
body from one of these yet?

I Just obtained an HO Rivarossi AC-4 Cab Forward engine from an old
collection and am having trouble taking it apart. Does anyone have a
diagram showing how to separate the body from the chassis and motor
drive system. I've tried the Rivarossi site and it is under construction

Any ideas as how to weather plastic red brick sheets (HO). I read somewhere
about diluted white paint? but cant seem to find the article.

On my previous layout, I never got around to a level of detail that
would incorporate utility poles and and wires.  What do most of you
do about such things?  Ignore them compeletely?  Model the poles and
forget about the wires?  Go for the whole thing?  And if the last,
