Input Sought on MTH Z-4000 vs. Lionel ZW Products25 Apr 2005 23:12 GMT8
I'm considering purchasing either an MTH Z-4000 or a Lionel ZW
transformer.  Can anyone give me their thoughts and or experiences with
both?  I'll be using this on a non-command/control layout, but that
factor may change in the future.  Below are some questions that I have:

My new layout design is coming along well. Something I've decided to do is

A web site that does exactly what it says on the tin....24 Apr 2005 00:36 GMT12
I was talking to someone about how difficult it is to buy from a web site
nowadays. So many people have missed the point. As a web designer I was told
you should be able to buy something from a site in three clicks.
At last I found a site that allowed me to do this. It's called
Mailcoach Coronation coaches23 Apr 2005 21:32 GMT5
OK, I've got the beaver-tail and a couple of coaches.  I know I have
to paint the sides on the outside, first the interior colour then the
exterior blues.
Should I paint a, say, grey barrier coat before the exterior colours?

Rusty Rails and concrete sleepers23 Apr 2005 13:22 GMT26
I wonder if anyone has any tips on how to create rusty looking rails... I've
seen it on many OO/HO layouts and presumed people must paint the sides of
the rails but I'm planning on using N gauge with about 60 yds of track -
painting would probably be a life-time's work!

All train shop(s) in the Toledo, OH, area?23 Apr 2005 03:00 GMT1
Where is the closest "all train" shop in the Toledo area?  Over the past few
years, a couple of them have closed, the most recent one being Steve's
Hobbies.  Now, I'm not aware of any "train shop" in the area at all.  Living
in Findlay, I'm guessing that the closest all train ...
