Is the new model out yet? Read on another news group that someone had tried to do a stall test before fitting DCC and the rods bent before it stalled? Anyone seen one or know any more?

| Gluing cork to foam and track to cork | 31 May 2005 14:49 GMT | 6 |
I've been testing out various ways of attaching cork roadbed to my foam, and then attaching track to the cork. I've tried liquid nails for projects, and am just finding it a bit of a pain to work with (hard to lay evenly, hard to unplug after it sits and dries, etc.)

| Live Steam | 31 May 2005 08:11 GMT | 6 |
After reading a few earlier threads, I am intrigued by live steam (not Hornby). I know it must be expensive, but I would like to know more. I guess, UK outline, but what gauge (not interested in hauling people, but bigger than O).?

| Leinster Models | 30 May 2005 23:24 GMT | 3 |
15 years or so back, I bought a cheap, basic tinplate O gauge loco body kit from this company at an O gauge event. Does anyone know if they are still in existence, and if so, where they can be contacted? Searching the web produces nothing.

| Kit building adhesive question | 30 May 2005 18:52 GMT | 12 |
It's been quite some time since I've assembled a plastic kit and now find that the Testor's model cement I used to use is no longer formulated the same as it was in the past (due to glue sniffing concerns I gather, which unfortunately means I can no longer celebrate the ...

| history - what history? | 30 May 2005 05:45 GMT | 7 |
An article appeared in the automotive section of the Spokane newspaper this morning reviewing the Honda Accord hybrid auto. According to the author, Honda made a great discovery. They invented regenerative braking!

| Self powered 00 vehicle (ie not track powered) | 29 May 2005 18:40 GMT | 11 |
I would be grateful if someone could point me in the direction of 00 (or H0) vehicles which do not rely on track pickup. It's easy enough to modify ordinary ones to carry a battery pack, but I was wondering what there is out in the wider world.

Kadee freight cars are quite expensive and have a limited variety. Can someone list the names of freight car mfrs that use KADEE 5's? I got bleary eyed on the internet trying to find out for myself, but this info is not freely available. Are they afraid to list the coupler

I'd like to mention the good service that I received from Mainly Trains recently. I placed an order through their website on Friday 20th. Due to a bit of finger trouble on my part, I mistyped a digit on my credit card number and

| American diesel locomotives quiz | 29 May 2005 04:57 GMT | 27 |
http://www.funtrivia.com/playquiz/quiz114458d1c938.html The quiz has a slight Chicago & North Western bias to it... I got 8 out 10 - I obviously need to learn a little more about Union Pacific gas turbines and Amtrak's Superliners.
