7 1/2" gauge train building16 Jun 2005 20:36 GMT1
I just joined the Kitsap Live Steamers and I would like to build a 1.5"
= 1' steam loco, preferably a 4-4-0 early american. Is there a library
of drawings or anything like that on the web or available to us?
Also, who are the folks on this group that are into the 7.5 and/or 7.250
MTH o scale premier 0-4-0 A5 2 rail16 Jun 2005 13:45 GMT1
I would be very interested to know if any 2 rail O scaler has bought
one of these, or knows someone with email who has. I am interested in
building a small O scale/gauge switching layout, and need a small loco
with good slow speed and (if possible) sound. Any comments, anyone?
Corrugated Passenger cars - simple question!16 Jun 2005 11:43 GMT8
At present I'm modelling a rake of Budd SL passenger cars and
want to add a red light at the end of the Observation car.  I've found
plenty of reference pics but can't find out if the red light flashed on/off
or was constant.  My own feeling is it was constant but ...
Station Nameboards16 Jun 2005 01:57 GMT2
Just finishing the terminus and am looking for station nameboards. I have
the coopercraft kit 2009 but don't really like it. Haven't seen anything in
the Wills Ratio catalog I like either.
Anyone got any ideas, has to be mail order / online as I am (unfortunately)
MAGESTiRIAL (?)16 Jun 2005 01:42 GMT3
Not only did I drop the "M", .....AGESTERIAL,   but I also spelled it
wrong and I'm not sure now how it is spelled. Really, very sorry! I
read the word as regards to the Old Latin Roman Mass meaning -With
MAGESTY"  ie, the Big Boy 4- 8 - 8 - 4 is magnificent and with

Newbie:  Preserving Outdoor Track ?15 Jun 2005 13:40 GMT1
I'm about to set up my first outdoor layout using Aristo track, and was told
by someone that if I remove the rails and spray the plastic with paint (not
sure what kind), the track will stand up to sun and weather much longer.
I'm in SoCal, by the way.  Is this worth doing and if so, ...
Bachmann 4-8-415 Jun 2005 13:32 GMT4
I recently bought a bachmann 4-8-4 loco with light and smoke. This train
will not stay on the rails, the front and rear bogies come off repeatedly
making it impossible to use.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem??
Class 66 diesel15 Jun 2005 13:10 GMT36
> Class 66 diesel
You remember, those awful North American diesels of a several years ago?
The ones that just couldn't possible be as good as UK diesels?
The shoddy North American built ones?

Rusted 55 gal drums?15 Jun 2005 03:47 GMT12
I would like to scatter a couple really rusted 55 gal drums in a weedy
corner of my industrial area, perhaps spilling the last of the Awfulstuffium
that was inside into toxic puddles.  Rather than just paint rust on a cast
drum, I'd like to do something like score the ribs in some ...
CSX Follows UP Example15 Jun 2005 00:53 GMT32
The the new MR has an ad from Atlas on the inside cover promoting
some new engines. I noticed that there were footnotes indicating that
some of them were under license from CSX. Perhaps Atlas has been doing
this for a while but it's the first time I've seen it.
