Ok anyone know what locomotives would most likely have been used to push
around SP Daylight's cars in the yards to make up  a train or in & out of
service areas around the very late 40s & very early 50s

Terminus Satation03 Jun 2005 23:19 GMT18
I am in the final stages of fitting the baseboards in my loft so hope
to start track laying soon but I am having second thoughts about a
terminus that I had planned. I had orinally considered this as
somewhere to store trains not in use as the space available makes a
4mm loco brake gear03 Jun 2005 22:55 GMT1
I'm making a 4mm model of a GWR 'Star' class using the SE Finecast kit and
their (adapted) 'Castle' etched chassis kit. I'd like to add some brake gear
detail and wonder if anyone can recommend a maker and/or supplier, please.
Thanks in advance
Which way do you prefer03 Jun 2005 22:07 GMT74
I'm getting ready to put my N scale train set up on eBay. I like the set
very much but we got a cat.
Cats and train layouts just do not mix. They jump onto and break things.
Expensive things.
Coming CLPs03 Jun 2005 20:23 GMT14
The website says that they should be here in September.  Looking at the pictures has
got me wondering. How tall is a CL/CLP?  Are there drawings of them anywhere on the
internet that anyone knows of?
I am expecting to see a locomotive that is approximately 4.57 metres tall and 3.04

P4 track building question.03 Jun 2005 10:49 GMT9
I am just getting to grips with doing some P4 trackwork for a future
layout project, and was wondering what you should use for soldering flat
bottom steel rail to copper clad sleepers?
Thanks,
225 / HST Consists03 Jun 2005 03:11 GMT7
I'm looking to put together a complete 225 and perhaps an HST (probably
both in intercity liveries) to run round the garden.
Does anyone know where I can get examples of  which coaches a complete train
might consist of?
Coupling hook for lms streamlined coronation03 Jun 2005 02:48 GMT2
Is there any way I can fit a coupling hook to the front of a Hornby LMS
Streamlined Coronation (Princess Alice).
Local model shop tried a few but all were to short, there is a screw hole in
the front bogie.

009 clearances and basic dimensions02 Jun 2005 21:02 GMT16
Still playing with ideas ...
Anyone able to give me a guide as to some basic dimensions for 009 gauge. In
particular what's a typical loading gauge (W x H) and when laying tracks in
parallel what's the recommended distance between track centres?
Track plans for tiny layouts ...02 Jun 2005 20:41 GMT4
There is a site (US I believe) that has shed loads of track plans for
miniature layouts, I've lost the URL and google isn't much help, can anyone
remind me of the URL please.
slall gloat02 Jun 2005 17:28 GMT2
There is a tradition of posting "gloats" in another group I read.  I
haven't seen such here, so I'm starting the tradition with a small
gloat.
We went to a garage sale last weekend at a homs where the deceased
