Recell Gliding school, Busch Gliding field31 Jul 2005 21:06 GMT1
Are these two accessory sets the same, sold under different brands?
I am interested as an aeroplane and glider modeller, not a railroad
builder. I already have a couple of gliders in 1/87 and think combining
them with one or both of these sets would produce a great diorama.
curving styrene31 Jul 2005 12:15 GMT9
I need to curve styrene for a set of OO carriages I am finishing. Is there a
tried and true permanent method for curving it along its length?
Any tips gratefully appreciated
thanks
Basic tracklaying & wiring Qs31 Jul 2005 11:39 GMT22
First up, PECO insulated rail joiners. We keep having problems with
these - join two rails with a standard joiner, its fine. Join them with
an insulated joiner, theres a half mil step in the track. Is this a
common thing, or have we just got a bad batch of joiners? If it is

Painting.30 Jul 2005 13:18 GMT6
In an earlier thread, I asked about metal kits... and I took the plunge
and bought a couple of "simple" wagon kits.
I've got them, and looks simple enough to me.
However, I tend to paint the pieces before I put them together,
Model Railroading in Southern Arizona?30 Jul 2005 10:21 GMT1
It is soooo hot here, that at least two dozen people died during a
recent heat wave. Illegals trying to cross our border die without
sufficien water, elderly people who don't have cooling in their homes,
and homeless people who can't or don't want to go into a shelter.
Needed: 9F Boiler end30 Jul 2005 00:28 GMT5
I'm not sure what it is called, but I have lost the damn end from my 9F
2-10-0 Evening Star loco. Anyone have one laying around, or can remove on
from a damaged body they no longer need? I am happy to pay for it.
Alternatively, can folks point me to where I can buy a used one.

Price rises on the way?28 Jul 2005 23:07 GMT53
As you will all have seen by now on the news, China has let its
currency, the yuan, float against a basket of currencies. The immediate
effect of this was to increase the value of the yuan by about 2% against
the dollar.
Couplings28 Jul 2005 21:10 GMT3
Can anyone please tell me the correct name for the continental type loop
couplings that have a small upright hook? (I have a Bachmann 158 that has
these type of couplings on the inner ends.) And also, please, where one
might buy them from.
Decals28 Jul 2005 10:33 GMT3

decals or where one can have them made if the process is too involved ??
Thank you.Ted
Bought that Garrat28 Jul 2005 05:40 GMT3
Hi again all
Well I saw and bought the Garrat last night. It is in pretty rough nick but
all salvageable with time and effort. I am a bit concerned that some parts
may be missing and that some of the work will be beyond my current skills. I
Q: International Community of Model Railroaders?27 Jul 2005 21:40 GMT4
This group has now spammed me twice at the address on my club's website.
Does anyone know any more about it?  I'm not about to spend $100/yr
for quite vaguely specified benefits (that so far don't sound any
different from what's already available for free elsewhere):
