Seeking advice on Whistle Plans27 Jul 2005 08:50 GMT3
I am currently seeking plans or websites showing the construction of a
whistle on any type of steam locomotive.  I have the equipment and have been
asked to attempt this.  First thing is where or who do i obtain plans from?
I have searched google but have not had much success.
Four-truck Shay27 Jul 2005 06:20 GMT5
In the late 1980s I acquired a pristine brass Westside Model Company HOn3
four-truck Shay.  The model is unpainted but according to the box it's a
"Hassinger Lumber Company" locomotive.  I'm familiar with a number of west
coast logging companies and their railroads, both standard ...
A Preiser problem26 Jul 2005 21:31 GMT51
I have a problem with Preiser/WS figure packs of six. Sometimes six is
more than I need/want. For example, I could use one brown bear in my
little wilderness area, but six would have to eat the train crews to
survive. I would like a couple of fishermen, but six would outnumber ...

Home Made Points26 Jul 2005 04:16 GMT28
Fairly much of an armchair modeller to date, but am getting into helping out
with my clubs' new N Scale layout that is slowly being built. To that end, I
was wondering whether anyone can help in pointing me to good articles,
merchandise etc to help us keep the cost of points down ...
magazine recomendation for 6 yr old25 Jul 2005 22:16 GMT16
Hi. First of all, I hope I am not bothering anyone.  I've been lurking
here for a while to see if this topic would come up without me and I
have not seen it.  So I am bringing it up myself.  Please forgive me if
I am overstepping in some way, or if I have found the wrong newsgroup.
Hornby see 'weakening consumer demand'25 Jul 2005 21:23 GMT49

High level air pipes25 Jul 2005 19:03 GMT9
My latest modelling project is super detailing the OO resin body by
Silver Fox. I have already completed the hand rails and by my skills I'm
very impressed with what I have achieved (Photos on the site soon, honest).
However, as my prototype is 07 003, one of the locos that ...
