| Good MR Web Sites | 28 Sep 2005 07:22 GMT | 3 |
I decided to check in on some web sites I haven't visited for awhile that I really like. You may have visited these already but if you haven't check them out. They may not cater to your exact interests but all are either well done or packed

| LNEEG | 27 Sep 2005 21:55 GMT | 12 |
Hi guys. Stuck out here in central Alberta & deciding to get back into modelling (trains that is) I started to lurk around this group & have learned a lot from your posts. Wanting to model LNER (region that is) about 52 til 60 I went surfinmg & found LNEEG. My problem, that I hope

| CCW/Skinley. | 27 Sep 2005 20:54 GMT | 2 |
I recently bought some old (1954) CCW catalogues. (one complete, three partial) In several of them is shown a Harwich Ferry Van in bare wooden body form.

| More redicoveries | 27 Sep 2005 20:02 GMT | 3 |
As I am starting to get more adventurous (and also get round to the fiddly bits I left to last, like scratch-building diamond crossings), I have rediscovered a couple of things I used to spend fortunes on in my youth: Plastruct and Milliput. It is hugely pleasing to me that

| Brilliance Sound Decoders | 27 Sep 2005 08:35 GMT | 72 |
I was looking over the specs for MRC's new Brilliance sound decoders and balked when I came to this statement, "synchronized diesel engine sounds with eight notches"... That means the engine sound only changes every 16 steps!? Looks like a reluctance on the part of MRC to truly ...

| Plywood thickness for layout ? | 27 Sep 2005 06:38 GMT | 12 |
Regards to all, I'd be grateful for advice on the best thickness of plywood to use for an open-frame OO gauge layout (2 x 1 timber frame)... the standard ones in DIY shops seem to be 6mm, 9mm & 12mm - is it one of these ?

| LED's | 27 Sep 2005 05:31 GMT | 1 |
I see that MRC have some "sunny white 3mm LED's" on their website. Has anyone used or seen these working? Im looking to replace the headlight in my Trainorama 44, and thought that since im getting a decoder from them, i might get a pack of these LED's.

| Broadway Limited AC6000CW CSX | 27 Sep 2005 03:39 GMT | 2 |
Just picked up my BLI CSX AC6000CW (CW60AC) from a local dealer. The price of $212U.S. in hindsight appears fair for a model of this functionality and quality. I have no "buyer's remorse" as with some other plastic models by other manufactures.

I'm about to finish a small Diesel Depot and am looking for inspiration. Fueling areas, typical crap lying around etc. Not found much on Goggle. Any links or ideas gratefully received. Rob

| curving metal????? | 26 Sep 2005 18:53 GMT | 10 |
Hi again all Well I tracked down the thin aluminium slats for making carriage roofs from, and they will work well for scratchbuilding and kitbashing. What I need to know now is how to increase or reduce the radius of the bend in the

| OT?: (Ping John Tuner probably...) Bachmann US models, as advertised in CM | 26 Sep 2005 13:55 GMT | 3 |
Sorry for jumping in with an OT question. I've just been reading the Oct. issue of CM (don't normally bother with CM, to much Europain stuff...) and noticed an advert for Bachmann US loco's, their 'On Board' range (page 13a), has there been
