I am a bunch of my mates are wondering when Hornby and Bachmann etc. are
going to release products that sport DCC chips and sound???? Any
announcements either way from these guys?

I was wondering if some of you could answer a question for me.  I am
starting plans to build a layout, I already have track plan and know what I
want the layout to do (it's basically a goods yard with a loop doubling as a

I have a proto green and white loco and have been looking for passenger cars
to go with it. Any ideas on where to look. I've searched the web and have had

Does the statement, "We've always done it like that" ring any bells?  Read
to the end, this is a new one for me.
The US standard railroad gauge (distance between the rails) is 4 feet,
8.5inches.

Can anyone outhere tell me how to wire grain of wheat and rice bulbs for
street and building lighting ? I bought some of fhose HO scale street
lights with green colored shades to put on poles need help wiring them
to my transformer. Greatly appreciate any info!

I didn't realise that Bachmann made a parallel boiler Royal Scot or that
these survived into BR days. When was the last Royal Scot rebuilt.

I build a diamond crossing (ready-made not available for that angle).
I went back a few weeks later and decided I had the wiring polarity
wrong on the crossing line, so I unsoldered it all and remade it.
Guess what?  I was right first time!  So I've just had to undo it all
