According to 'the Barry List' 4th Edition (published 1979 I think) there had
been a diesel loco number D8026 broken up in 1970. It is described as a
'type 1' Bo-Bo.

Hi all, My son has a Hornby Virgin cl86 loco.
Unfortunately he hs broken off a small piece of the bodywork which holds
the pantograph in place . It is/was attached on the top of the body and
stopped the arm from sliding off of the bar (if that makes sense)

This new NCE PowerCab starter set looks interesting. At about $140 with a
power supply included it's about the least inexpensive set so far. I still
haven't purchased a DCC system. I've been leaning towards a Lenz set 90. I
decided to wait until I really had enough layout ...

I have been happily chipping locos this afternoon, but have had trouble
with a Hornby one. I put a LE1000 "Mac Coder" into a new Battle of
Britain pacific and another into a new Merchant Navy and they work
really well, nice slow speed and good control.

I attended my first ever model train convention last weekend - the "9th
National N Scale Convention" and had a really great time. I learnt a lot
about what has been going on in the N Scale around Australia and now cannot
wait until another convention.

    I purchased three Athearn SD45T-2 locomotives from my local
hobby shops because they are so Southern Pacific prototypical.
    The directional headlight lighting in these units does not
operate the same on each unit going forward and backward, or from unit

like coke and beer ads etc..
