Do Railways Have a Freight Route?29 Oct 2005 21:07 GMT4
I have two main line routes going round the layout, and also a goods

has freight routes?
Thanks,

Hi...

Assembly services fro N Scale kits?29 Oct 2005 05:46 GMT1
Can anyone recommend someone who assembles (solders, paint, etc.) N
Scale kits professionally? I inherited a Burlington Zephyr kit from my
father after he passed away and I'm defintiely not the most articulate
with a soldering iron. I'd like to have it completed by Christmas so

Hi again  all
Just thinking about buying one of these models to build and am wondering if

Hello, all.  I'm in need of some steel track pins and replacement bulbs
for my American Flyer layout.  Can anyone comment on their dealings with

If any of you live near, or are visiting this neck of the woods this
November, there is an event called the Piedmont Pilgrimage, which is
basically open house at weekends to go and see a varied amount of layouts.
There will be two British outline layouts this year, mine and Chris ...
Dealers fitting DCC Decoders28 Oct 2005 10:12 GMT9
I have just talked the wife into buying the Bachmann 32-356 Standard 4MT
Tank, weathered for me for Xmas. She would rather purchase it pre-fitted
with a Lenz Gold decoder. (I suspect it's so I can't have it before Xmas).
Does anyone have any suggestions of dealers who may carry ...

Motorising a Airfix/Dapol Windmill28 Oct 2005 09:21 GMT6
Fareham club needs to motorise one of these for use on our kids "drive it
yourself" layout.
It will be the second one we have done, the first one had a motor in the
base and transferred the drive to the sails via a rubber band, but it was
Half Slips and Double Slips27 Oct 2005 20:28 GMT54
I have tried to avoid puuting these into my layout plans as whenever I
have spoken to experienced modellers they had condemned them as being
more trouble than they are worth.
What is the groups opinion, I don't want to fit a double slip if it is

Need to know the correct nomenclature/mfg of the 3-chime set used
on most of the FEC GP40-2's and the different 3-chime set used on the
SD40-2's FEC obtained from UP.
I'm trying to match them up with Loksound files available so I can order the

I just noticed that Lloyd has finally updated his website, saying that he is

Repair to Austrains C class body?27 Oct 2005 07:22 GMT6
Dropped my Austrains C class onto the carpeted floor. The impact was
taken by the front coupler.
But, the locking tags on the body broke off.
Are there any way of repairing/securing the body down?
