| Manual versus Automatic Turnouts | 30 Nov 2005 18:32 GMT | 28 |
How do you feel about using manual versus automatic turnouts? I know some people feel like they're part of the railroad if they actually have to get down and throw the manual switch. Myself, I definitely prefer the automatic ones, but I absolutely hate

| heljan 47 + lights+sound chip+ ? | 30 Nov 2005 14:18 GMT | 5 |
Anyone fitted an express lighting DCC light kit to a sound chipped class 47? What wires from the lighting kit attach to where on the decoder? Is it colour co-ordinated as the express lighting instructions do not tie up with the sound chip programming, I think!

Bachmann 57 are out, shall be returning with a freightliner and possibly the Virgin one in just over an hour all being well. My supplier tells me he thinks the Virgin one has the deliner? (funny coupling thing!) as a separate item the box.

| Very non-politically-correct Chrstmas story | 30 Nov 2005 12:41 GMT | 1 |

| Why Do You Railroad? | 29 Nov 2005 23:28 GMT | 14 |
I was curious why you are involved in model railroading? I know some people worked on actual railroads and have tried to model it. Some people like to model railroads they grew up around.

| Help understanding DCC | 29 Nov 2005 19:38 GMT | 19 |
Hi again, I have some general questions about DCC: Do DCC-equipped trains work on non-DCC layouts? I would anticipate that they work just like a regular style train, but I'm not sure. Likewise, will non-DCC trains
