Track cutting02 Nov 2005 16:35 GMT16
Is there a better way of cutting flex track to length than by the use of
track cutters. They tend to leave a tangled twisted mess, rough edges and
uneven ends...and thats just me! What does everyone else use?

Which Turntable is Best?02 Nov 2005 01:22 GMT38
I've been told that both the Atlas Turntable and the Walthers Turntable, are
either "Excellent" or "A piece of crap"... depending on who I talk to.  I
would welcome any opinions about these two prducts and any recommendations
for other brands.  I need a motorized turntable and I'm ...
Ping: Atlas e-news authors02 Nov 2005 01:10 GMT3
Hi there --
I went to the Atlas website, and found there's no way to contact you
directly without registering on one of your forums, and I can't be
bothered to do that. So I hope someone at Atlas is reading this.

wheel types01 Nov 2005 22:29 GMT14
Please could anyone give me some general guidance about which sort of
rolling stock used which sort of wheels (spoked, 3-hole disc and plain
disk).  I guess this might be a subject in itself so any rough guidance
would be appreciated.
AMRA Track and Wheel Gauge01 Nov 2005 20:14 GMT9
Does anyone out there know where I can lay my hands on one of these
useful little devices. The one I'm using at the moment I borrowed of a
mate.

Foam soil01 Nov 2005 20:06 GMT9
Has anyone tried the earth and soil colored ground foams?  I know most
people probably just paint their scenery brown and then add green foam
and static grass or whatever.  Do you think it would be worth it to lay
down a few layers of earth colored foam before adding on the grass?
REA Boxcars01 Nov 2005 15:16 GMT6
Were REA boxcars and all refrigerator cars prototypically added to the
front of a consist, to the back of a consist, or were they placed
according to their designated drop-off?
Thanks,

Rumours:
Bachman will be doing an unrefubished 4-CEP
Hornby will do a 4-CIG, not sure on if it refubished or not
Replica will do a BR design 4-EPB.
Testing a 3 rail locomotive01 Nov 2005 08:14 GMT25

layout?
I have an old HD 2-6-4 4MT and want to know whether it runs. I only
have a 2 rail layout so need some help here.
