Just received a bunch of stuff in the mail. One item: A "new" Mainline N2
loco (bought as a graveyard lot) arrived and it has been cooked
somehow...... one entire side is bent and distorted as if it's been hit with
a heat lamp or similar. Anyway, I obviously need another body ...

Looking at the new Bachmann 57 from a DCC point of view, I notice it now has
it's own pocket on top of the chassis for taking a chip about the size of a
Lenz Gold series, has working lights (at last) NEM coupling boxes, good
detail (I'm not aware of any errors yet!) and even ...

Well, you will find my postings on reef aquariums,slotcars and now i've
done it-jumped into the biggest hobbie that will never end...  O scale
trains.  Just purchased a Lionel-Santa Fe Fast Track and I'm new to the
hoddie so where can I find about?

Some say the plastic wheels, being non-conductive, develop more low

locos are often found to be 'oversize' when fitting engraved versions.

Not a museum for model trains, but a model of a real railroad museum.
I got this idea a few years back from an MR article on moving the V&O
forward in time, one step which involved removing the turntable and
replacing it with diesel facilities.  

Anyone know if the Class 71s had either the double-diamond or arm and
elbow type pantograph (or did they start with the diamond type and
change later?)

Don't hang out on Usenet much anymore, but yuo folks are my best shot: is
MDC still in business? I was looking at this year's Walthers catalog, and
realized that I didn't see it mentioned. Then I just went out on the Web,
and found somebody linking to them, and the link was dead.

I'm hoping for a Hornby Class 110 and maybe that rather fine looking
new loco-drive A3.  What will you be asking Santa for?
