Oversize shipping15 Dec 2005 05:55 GMT3
Not sure if this is the best place to ask this question but here goes.
I am located in Australia and recently I purchased some Atlas 40" O
Scale 2-rail track from a US based company on ebay. I also purchased a
number of rolling stock items. The seller then sent the items to me via
No Smoking signs15 Dec 2005 02:07 GMT10
As I remember it, at least in the 60s and 70s, no smoking signs on
train windows were triangular point uppermost and (IIRC) green in
colour. No more than half of one coach would be so marked, but ISTR
First Class was all smoking (at least Up North). First class had a

Up until what year were shark brake vans used on ballast trains? And what
was the last livery they were seen out and about wearing at that time?
Bachmann Forth Raider14 Dec 2005 17:23 GMT6
I see that Bachmann  has now added a note on their web site to say that the
nameplate on this loco is not incorrect.  Have Bachmann or dealers had
complaints? I'm surprised that this information was not included in the
paperwork with the loco, as my first response on seeing the ...
00 Gauge Crane14 Dec 2005 16:48 GMT9
I am sure that I have seen around on my travels an 00 gauge overhead crane
used for lifting off of and on to trains the 20 / 30ft containers which sit
on flat trailers.  Can anyone possibly tell me if I am just imagining it, or
whether such model exists.  What I am thinking I ...

newbie and Bachmann On30 trolley14 Dec 2005 14:34 GMT1
Hello...
I know very little about model trains, but I am enjoying perusing the
internet and learning a bit about them.  Anyway, to add to our growing
Christmas village setup at home, I bought the Bachmann On30 Holiday trolley
Athearn Shaft Coupling14 Dec 2005 13:49 GMT10
Hello, all.  A while back I posted to the ng about some replacement parts
for an old Athearn diesel loco that used their rubber band drive system.
No problem getting the rubber bands but I have not been able to locate a
source for the two worn out rubber coupling sleeves that ...
66 Class Website14 Dec 2005 11:50 GMT1
Would someone kindly repost the URL for the 66 class website. I inadvertently deleted
the message containing it.
I would also like to find photos of 59 class if anyone knows of any sites. The 59s
are quite hard to find if you don't know exactly where to look; and I don't.
Retrofitting Small Layout with DCC13 Dec 2005 20:41 GMT5
I have a small beginners layout (7' x 3') that I constructed back when
DCC was out of my price range. Now that Bachmann have brought out the
E-Z controllers I was wondering about retrofitting for DCC. However, an
article I read a while back showed the DCC circuit routed as a ...

Saw these on ebay,

and thought it seemed a good deal for fitting to my cheaper non DCC locos,
and wondered if anyone had any experience of these.
How to locate a specific Lionel model#?13 Dec 2005 15:38 GMT4
My friend is trying to find a Lionel engine + tender that was produced
in 2003.  It is the Lionmaster Boston & Albany 4-6-4, model #6-38086.
He's checked his usual sources (eBay etc) and has come up empty
handed.
