Those yellow flashing lights on engines12 Jan 2006 01:49 GMT2
Forgive me but I have a question on engine lights. I noticed that some
modern-era model engines have a yellowish-orange flashing light on the
roof. It looks somewhat like an orange flashing light that you might
see on top of a van or truck that's out doing electrical or road
56 Class Diesel locos12 Jan 2006 01:13 GMT21
I was looking at some of John Turner's photos of the 56 class and have some
questions:
Who manufactures 56 class machines?
Are they six-motor or four-motor
Looking for layout designer....11 Jan 2006 20:25 GMT3
Can anyone steer me in the direction of someone who can design a small
N Guage layout for me?  He doesn't have to build it.  All I'm looking
for is someone to design something rather simple to my rather easy
specifications.  And, most important, someone who's not going to charge

I've just noticed that the "empty" address on Hornby's new R6302 D R
Llewellyn PO wagon is "Windber Colliery, via Gadlys Junction, Aberdare,
T.V.R.". According to Turton's second collection (p.81) the prototype of
this wagon was built in June 1907.
Big Trouble over Big Boy - need help!!11 Jan 2006 13:04 GMT20
We've been promising our son for the last 2 years that he could get "big boy
trains" when he turned 5. He's been asking for "big boy" trains for almost 2
years.
We thought he wanted a model railroad set and thought we'd all pick out a

Air brush receommendation11 Jan 2006 05:48 GMT4
My old Badger 200 (single action) air brush will not work. I could
probably ultimately get it repaired, but maybe it is not worth the time
and cost. Immediateely avaailable I see brushes offered by Paasche,
Aztec, Badger and Iwata. Is double action the way to go? I would use it

Concept Car For Train Guys11 Jan 2006 02:49 GMT17
Has anyone seen the Ford concept introduced in Detroit today? Its the
Ford F250 Super Chief. Its design is supposed to be inspired by the
locomotives used by the train.

This is the probably the last day for you to contact OFCOM
with your views on silent calls.
Ofcom wants to hear what citizens think about its new policy
against Silent Calls - BEFORE 9 JANUARY 2006.
What's 'wrong' with Tyco?10 Jan 2006 04:41 GMT26
Hi everybody and happy new year,
I'll start with my question and then explain what I'm talking about.
Why are tyco trains considered toys (junk)?.......
Durability?........Realism?.......Servicability?........
Is our hobby getting more expensive or what?10 Jan 2006 00:28 GMT103
I just returned from an all day shopping trip with the family which included
a trip to a larger train shop in a major city nearby.  I won't mention
either the city or the shop as it is not the intent of this post to complain
about prices.
