Platform height. 00 scale18 Jan 2006 09:07 GMT5
Now I have finished my track (for the minute) I need to build some custom
platforms. As I understand it the platform height is usually about 3ft above
track level.
As this would equate to about 12mm in 00 scale and the Peco flexitrack I

Anyone got a good suggestion where I can look at and buy on line these model

Any other 4mm models I can know about?

Why I laugh when I cut grass at the club18 Jan 2006 06:00 GMT36
It was in my early days at the club back around 85 or 86. The club
layout had not been expanded in awhile and there was still a large area
in the layout room that was unoccupied.
At every show/open house, the resident "lionel guy" would haul his
Walther's swing bridge18 Jan 2006 00:29 GMT9
I just finished the Walther's swing bridge. It is a nice looking kit, it
runs very smoothly. there were two modifications that I made. the first was
to mount the second switch (the one that they put on the abutment to turn
off the motor, under the platform 90 degrees from the ...
Point Templates17 Jan 2006 21:58 GMT10
Does anyone have a source of point templates which are online and can be
printed off? I am in the process of working out a design full size for a
small space and would like to have some templates to play around with.
Hornby catalogue17 Jan 2006 20:29 GMT59
In case anyone is not yet aware - the new Hornby 2006 Catalogue was released
this week.  The GBP7.50 price tag is a 25% increase on that charged last
year, although I have to say it is a little larger than the 2005 issue.

Design a layout to ship abroad...17 Jan 2006 19:44 GMT21
Has anyone any experience with shipping layouts abroad? I'm currently
at the design stage of a layout and certain restrictions are 'helping'
the design process.
First a bit of background, the layout will be an `n` gauge tail chaser,
Reverse Loop17 Jan 2006 16:41 GMT11
I have a Digitrax AR1 Automatic Reverse Controller which I've been told can
also be used to control polarity on a turntable.  Can anyone tell if this is
true and if so, is there anything special I should know about installing the
product?  The Digitrax instructions do not address ...
Back to Back Adjustments17 Jan 2006 15:58 GMT31
I have a need to adjust the back-2-back distances on the wheels of most of
my RTR stock, and I was wondering if there are any good tools available for
doing such? I know of back-2-back gauges, but what about a tool to do the
job accurately? I find adjusting the distance by hand ...
MR Cyclopedia Vol. 216 Jan 2006 21:57 GMT1
I've been looking for this book in hardcover, and haven't found it.
Did it exist, or was it only available in paperback form?
Thanks in advance,
John.
DCC Question16 Jan 2006 19:25 GMT25
I wonder if you can help me, I have a couple of DCC newbie convert
questions.  I have got the Gaugemaster DCC System and when I bought it I
bought two of their standard size decoders (gaugemaster product code dcc20).
I understand that they are only a re-bading of a Lenz decoder, ...

HO Repower question16 Jan 2006 14:12 GMT10
I have a 1960 Akane EM1 that I would like to repower and make DCC.  The
drive train is flat and I would not like to take the drivers apart to put in
a gear tower. There is  no motor in it now. I looked at the NWSL site and
came away even more confused than when I started. Space ...

Rewheeling Hornby Dublo Coaches16 Jan 2006 04:44 GMT30
I have been asked to replace the plastic wheels on some Hornby Dublo
coaches. The purpose is to enable them to run on Peco code 100 track
with out hitting the chairs.
The biggest problem seems to be the deeply recessed axle boxes. Does
