Having just followed the two links supplied in the previous thread... The
site seems to have been hacked in some way. The page that opens says
something like "This page has been hi-jacked by the Turkish
something-or-other". I closed it pretty pronto.

Frustration08 Feb 2006 00:46 GMT2
I've been building up the courage to tackle the DCC conversion of a Bachmann
04 Diesel shunter. I settled on the TCS M1 decoder, mainly for it's size,
and ordered two. The first of these I trialled in a Bachmann 45xx Prairie,
and I was very pleased with the result, so tonight I set ...

Carrs Transfix07 Feb 2006 21:03 GMT5
I'm after some decal softener and the places I expected to get it from
don't currently have any.
Mainy Trains have something from Carrs called Transfix which sounds
like what I'm after. Anyone know for sure?
Half Slip v Double Slip07 Feb 2006 19:46 GMT5
I tried to plan my layout without slips but couldn't get away without
using a double in one place. Although it is early days I am not having
any problems except getting in a muddle with which way the points are
set. They are yet to be made electrically operated.

Scratch and Bashing help - newbie HO steam nut07 Feb 2006 01:19 GMT20
I am really curious as to creating all the rivets. Are they available on
solderable tape? Can't believe I have to punch each one ! Maintaining
symmetry would take some kind of jig or magic elf in HO.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
UP MOW equipment color07 Feb 2006 00:19 GMT3
Does anybody have any idea what color UP used for cabooses and cranes

Vertical tracks06 Feb 2006 21:34 GMT11
Is anybody aware of any model rail systems that include vertical tracks, at
a 90 degree angle to the horizontal?  I would like to make a track that
runs along my the top of my book cases and down the sides.
I understand that I will probably have to include some sort of "hill" to
