| Do Micro-trains N Scale uncouplers work for HO? | 18 Mar 2006 12:44 GMT | 15 |
I am having an issue with the Kadee uncouplers that are mounted between the rails. They are slightly too high for the Atlas code 83 track on my layout, however, I really do not want to cut the ties to make room for the uncoupler.

| rail car/automobile? | 18 Mar 2006 08:34 GMT | 1 |
Possibly OT, but I'd like to make a Dodge Magnum train car (a la Monster Garage Jesse James Discovery Channel). Easiest way I figure is to take a short (~040) engine body off the frame and fix a plastic car shell onto the chassis. Anyone with experience done this before?

| Rail Bender | 17 Mar 2006 17:01 GMT | 2 |
I want to try building my own G Scale turnouts, so I need a rail bender. I have found several listed in magazine ads, but have no idea if they work or not. I'd rather not spend $75 to find out. Can anyone make some recommendations?

OK, I'm new here. Have looked at a few sites and an FAQ. My daughter (5) wants a "train set". She played a little when she was younger with those wooden toys you push around a track and now wants a proper train set. I don't know how long this will last, but I'll go along with it ...

| Motorising the City of Truro | 16 Mar 2006 23:28 GMT | 10 |
I have already got the branchline Kit, but I'm not too impressed with it. Maybe its just because I am a beginner. Is there a Tednder with a motor inside that I can use instead of the Motor in the engine ??

| Historical what if | 16 Mar 2006 10:21 GMT | 12 |
I was thinking that it would have been far better that the then NSWGR should have brought a fleet of shay locomotives to shunt places like Darling Harbour, Enflield, Pt Waratah etc instead of persisting with the 19 class. If you disagree state the reasons why you think the 19

| Hornby HM2000 for N-gauge | 15 Mar 2006 18:10 GMT | 7 |
Hi, I was wondering if Hornby's HM2000 is suitable for N-gauge locomotives? I recently bought one off eBay and tried it with my N-gauge locomotives. They work all right but they seem to hum horribly, as opposed to when powered by a Bachmann controller.
