Can I have some help with DCC. I have a Lenz Compact and I am running a Bachmann chip1014. I would like to slow down the speed of the loco, so that on the dial at full turn the loco will only move slowly as in a shunting yard.

As promised, here are some pictures of the two toy train layouts I made for my nieces. The goal was to keep it simple and inexpensive and although I lost track of some prices, each layout including train came in at about $12 a piece with material (and about $50 a piece in labor

I'm starting to accumulate some cars, an Atlas and a Kato locomotives. I note some difference in couplers. I've searched, but cannot find good reference material to read and study. Anyone know where I can find some photos and descriptions of the various couplers in use.

This is for future reference but when my layout is finished I'm planning on running the train at a very slow continuous speed, letting it creep through the scene for a period of 4-5 hours for one evening a year (this is the Halloween layout) and at lesser lengths of time throughout ...

I am using Peco Streamline flexible track in 4mm scale which I am about to butcher. Just does'nt look right. What gauge/ scale should I select in Templot to achieve a more realistic sleeper spacing. Do I need to adjust the sleeper length as well?
