Q:  Roof Walk Lumber Sizes?21 Apr 2006 10:53 GMT26
Despite the way they're typically modeled, especially on N- & HO-gauge
models, freight car roof walks wouldn't very likely have been made from
car-length boards (36'-40') but rather butted end-on-end from shorter
lumber.  Based on drawings in the Train Shed Cyclopedia, it looks ...

Having just started the move to DCC with my first DCC set and decoders (from

I'm building a new layout for my son, but we have a very limited amount of
space, and therefore a small board (1750x1180mm).

Redfern Models NSWR4 wheel  "D" wagon20 Apr 2006 15:22 GMT2
The Powerline / Trainworld people left their display cabinet "unguarded" at
the Hobsons Bay exhibition so I was able to grab a quick picture of the
Redfern Models NSWR "D" wagon along with a few pics of the Powerline VR T

I have a question relating to the powering of my layout.  I have at the
moment a DCC layout which has into it just one power feed, but locos seem to
dropping off power at the furthest point from the power feed.  Is it
therefore possible to spur off of the power out of my Dcc ...
Building a Pacer - or at least trying to.20 Apr 2006 10:15 GMT4
Won an auction on Ebay for some unpainted Pacer bodies and chassis so I
thought I would build me a Class 142.
I got stumped at the first hurdle. The Hornby service sheet for Pacers
shows fixing of the trailing bogie with a small self tapping screw.

We're looking for a model train layout about 4'x8' with a town setting
