I wonder if any of the knowledgeable people on this forum can help me
out?
A few months ago I lashed out a whole £2(!) on a plastic van kit at
Jane's Trains in Tooting; it was obviously old, perhaps acquired from

"Model Town" on Discovery Real Time Extra02 Apr 2006 15:01 GMT3
For the Sky subscribers, and beginners amongst us, I just spotted a show
on Discovery RealTime Extra, weekends at 9am. Seem to be building a
model railway, and explaining some of the trickier bits (like how to
make trees), at the BlueBell line.

anyone tried this?  Would the internal mechanism be really ...

HO - Proto 2k Heritage 0-8-0 - Track Pickup in Tender01 Apr 2006 06:22 GMT8
I have noticed in the tender of the Life-Like Proto 2000 Heritage
0-8-0, there are slots that look like you could add track power pickup
leads to the trucks.  Is there a kit that easily allows this?  I know I
would have to change out the current wheels b/c they have plastic axles
