This is a little off topic but does anyone remember the movie "Emperor of the North"? As a kid I caught this many times on TV but haven't seen it since then and the recent interest in model trains has got me to thinking about it

I need bogies and wheels for 4 coaches I just won and if someone could assist that'd be great. The part number I can see on the ones I have here says L5542 - I am also wondering if there may be other part numbers that would suit as well.

I bought a Proto 2000 PA-1 in Ebay last week, the problem is a terrible squeak when the locomotive is running with origen in the secondone truck, I use oil but the noise continued and sometimes stopped the locomotive, at the end I decided to retire the traction to this truck

In lieu of a blog, I'll report here on the progress in making the half-round channel I need to represent the round variety of HO-scale rain gutters --- square gutters are pretty much already done with C-channel in both styrene and brass from various suppliers.

Can anyone confirm that all the BR1/A tenders on the Britannias were rivetted. I've got a part scratchbuilt model which has no rivet detail on a BR1/A tender body and I've never seen such on any picture I've seen of a Standard Class 7.
