I'm planning to buy some F7 units for my layout and have looked over the Stewart and the Intermountain engines. Does anyone have experience with both brands and if so could you tell me how much difference in performance there may be between brands?

Hello everyone. I am considering making the move from DC to DCC. The biggest question in my mind at this time is; Can set a number of locos in motion with the Zephyr and let them run on their own without having to have an individual throttle for each unit?

Go find a scrap metals place in your area. If they don't have any, then ask them who is getting scrap metal from the railroads in your area. You might also want to check with any railroad museums in the area as they may have extras that they don't need.
