Mornin all.
Just back from a wonderful holiday in the UK and amongst a great running
Class 20 (Thanks John!) I somehow arrived home with a Bachman Container 2
pack.

Can anyone shed any light on the interiors of SR CCTs and
utility vans? Did they have any partition walls and what
colour were the interiors generally painted? Hope that's not
too vague a question!

Regarding the questions posed about curved bridge spans here recently:
when I read this, I knew there was an article on this in one of my model
RR mags. I finally found it in the August, 1994 issue of /Mainline
Modeler/, a very interesting 6-page article devoted to this subject.

Guys...I just saw the most recent ad for the Proto 2000 USRA 0-6-0 switcher
and was extremely surprised to see that it is equipped with traction-tires!
Seems to me that this is a huge step backwards.....I'd like to hear the
thoughts of others about this.

Does anyone know where I can source some bi-colour LED's (red and
white/yellow) of a 2mm diameter, like those used by Express Models?
Usual suspects (Maplin, Rapid Electronics, Farnell) don't seem to know.

Whilst converting a batch of Cl 37 & 47's to double motor i discovered
that one of my Cl 47 acquisions had a cast metal chassis with
encapsulated power and pick-up bogies. It has illuminated panels and
carries the same number as the plastic chassis type.  As I cannot find

Was just told by a private seller on eBay that he will have to pay export
duty of 9GBP to send a loco to me - not only have I never heard of this, all
previous transactions I have had with the UK (300+) have never mentioned or
charged this. In addition, I regularly receive VAT ...
