Is there a way to make the Compact default to 128 speed steps at power-up rather than 28? I find it rather a chore to have to set each loco individually every time I start the system! ROB

Does anyone know if Peco sell the extension pins for their point motors separately? I couldn't find any listed anywhere. I have 5 old motors I'd like to re-use but the use of a camping mat as underlay means the pins don't reach :-(

WE are considering use of double sided foam tape to be used on a foam baseboard for the track underlay instead of cork. Has anyone any experience of this method and does anyone know of a supplier? Have tried it on a small length of track (75mm) and after ballasting it

In terms of fractions of an inch per foot, what is a realistic grade for N-Scale locomotives to be able to pull from one level to another on a SMALL layout. One that sort of looks realistic, not true to scale.

I have a diesel shunter from the 80's / 90's that has lain idle for a long time. When I came to get it working it didn't. It is powered by one of the small motors with non-replaceable brushes held in a wiring harness.
