   Connex is putting up on Melb. sub. stns. ads. regarding train delays
showing trains (obviously models) being held up by various means, including
U.F.O's and large beasties. Any comments on the models being used? Some look
like XPTs, none of course look like Connex EMU's as there ...

Folks:
Once again I pried open my wallet and bought a hobby magazine, and
found it very useful.  This has happened a few times lately.
The July RMC was good.  I like their plain and comprehensible format.

The upcoming movie Superman Returns has a spectacular train layout. It
looks to be HO with a little O thrown in. Lots of high trestles
threading through a cityscape.
I'm wondering what brands of equipment the studio used.  This would

I have an odd corner of the layout which would be good for a siding
leading to some industry such as a gas works or timber yard. But for
reasons of space the siding would have to cross a turntable. Trucks
would be hauled across. Perfectly feasible, but was it ever done in
