Old Varney boxcar06 Aug 2006 08:42 GMT16
Went shopping for model RR stuff the other day, the first time in a
looooong time; ended up buying some cheap cars on sale at a small local
shop. One of the things I got was a Varney boxcar, for $3. Thought it
might tickle some of the old-timers here to hear about it.

I'm presently building the Hurst Models kit for the Wessex Electric Class
442, in it's documentation it tells you to remove the bogies and discard
them as Mark 3 Coach bogies aren't correct.  But what do I replace them
with??
photoetching05 Aug 2006 11:51 GMT5
hello, I read quite a lot and I think I did my home work about what to
know to start etching my own part. My problem is I still was not able
to fine a small enough supplier for dry-film photoresist or brass
already laminated with photoresist. I know there is sealman (or

building a small shunting lay out using Kadee's. I have converted a
small batch of mainly Bachmann goods wagons to start me off. Last
weekend I have installed a couple of under-the-track magnets.

I'm about to deisgn a garden railroad and am looking for some
easy-to-use design software.  Atlas' Right Track is great, but there is
nothing in G-scale, just N, HO, and O.  Do any of you have any
suggestions?
Powerline T05 Aug 2006 01:30 GMT1
Does anyone know when Powerline are going to release the T class loco?. This
is getting a bit long in the tooth... a 9 month delay with still no word on
a delivery date.
I now hear their VQCX wagon is delayed and also the VHGF wheat hopper has

help identify brass locomotive03 Aug 2006 01:29 GMT3
Hi all, I've got an O scale brass locomotive that I think my Dad
purchased in the late 50s or early 60s.  It looks to be an interurban
freight loco, but beyond that I'm stuck.  The only marking is "Japan"
stamped on the motor.  I've done a fair amount of searching online but
