has anyone got any useful thoughts on wagon weighting?
I'm building some 1/24th scale NZR wagons and imagine the results to be a
bit light.
I tried 1/24x24x24 of tare weight but the results are perhaps twice what

model trains using DC, then converted to DCC and went back to DC again?

layout. This is based on a classic layout. In my case there is just
track work on a simple board. I have made no attempt to add scenery as
the idea was to make a layout which could be used to test the problem

Trying to solve a puzzle re. the above, and none of my many books of
railway photos seems to be giving any real clue; were the corridor and
compartment sides identical in terms of both (a) no. of oval loo
windows and (b) provision of "plain" as against "toplight" full-size
