| Resistors for LEDs: the real answer | 15 Sep 2006 11:29 GMT | 19 |
In the thread above where someone asked about selecting resistors for use with driving a LED, nobody really nailed it right on the head. So just to clear a few things up, a rather long post follows. First of all, while non-electronics types refer to the resistor in this

I received the first Walthers empire Builder car for my Great Northern Empire Builder. Like most of Walthers passenger cars, it is ready to run except for the addition of number decals and grab irons. I find the addition of these grab irons to be quite tedious. I have more ...

| Filler for model buildings | 14 Sep 2006 08:20 GMT | 18 |
I'm looking for a filler for the seams on plastic model buildings (on an HO layout). Very narrow seams, maybe half a mm wide. A bit too wide for paint to fill them in. Is there a good model-shop product to use? Or something else?

| Old timers; remember "Big John?" | 13 Sep 2006 17:19 GMT | 34 |
I've been searching in vain this morning for a quote that someone posted when Big John Dalton passed away back around May of 2001. It was a simple quote that went something like this... "Big John parked his train, took his power to the house, then went home."

I'm about to start my first layout and have a couple of questions about wiring that I'm hoping your good selves will know how to answer. What I'm building is an n-gauge table-top (literally on the dining room table for now!) layout using Kato Unitrack so that I can put it away.
