   Remember ages ago folk having problems with these. Mine started making a
horrible noise at an exhibition at the weekend, but the bottom axles and
horn blocks are well lubed ? Where was the problem ? The gear train or motor
bearings ?

As I am going digital I thought it might be worth selling off some
surplus stock on the club's second hand stall. What should I be asking
for a Lima Cl 40, 31 and 20. All bought new and in good condition.
I never buy second hand so I don't have any idea of values.

Still weighing up all my options re track before committing
to the financial outlay. Does anyone know whether it is
possible to fit cosmetic chairs to Marcway's ready-built 00
points or is it of the 'big blob of solder' variety? Also

We got stocks of the new Hornby (ex-Lima) BR(WR) green 'Bubble Car' today.
The quality of finish is certainly an improvment on previous efforts by
Lima, but the first one I tested wouldn't move itself on the flat, let alone

Can anyone tell me when the Hornby radio (27MHz) remote control was
current, I refer to the X4667/8 combination.  I cannot find any
reference to it in the Hornby paperasse.

The first of the Hornby DCC trainsets came into stock today. I can't be
arsed to test one though as it's only got one of their cheap & nasty little
locs in, and it's only the very basic DCC controller.

I bought some led's at radio shack and must have bought the wrong
resistors for them. they dont work :(
the led's are yellow 5mm  2.1 volt 20mA  720mcd.  I bought A470
resistors and they dont work

i have 50 of them running nicely, make sure all is level and clean
underneath, and if nailed in place, make sure not to tight. i have lights
attached to them and then still run back and forth with no problem.
