Signal mast and head(s)06 Jan 2007 05:17 GMT3
How about some thoughts on signals?  I am looking to buy/build some.  I
don't need infomation on detection or signal logic, just the signal
mast and head(s).  I don't want plastic as I have seen them in
operation on a couple of club layouts and they break pretty easy.  The
Disposing of collection - how?06 Jan 2007 03:15 GMT8
Over Christmas I was privileged to look over a pretty big collection of
railwayana and model railway stuff.  The model railway stuff seems to be
mostly 1950's to late-80s, with literally hundreds of coaches, wagons
and locos, whilst the railwayana is just about everything related ...

A request to any of our UK friends here how can answer this: I'm looking

Heljan 2007 plans confirmed.05 Jan 2007 20:37 GMT9
Have just received the following confirmation from Heljan of their 2007
releases.  I believe the plans for 'Falcon' will only proceed if there is an
encouraging number of advance orders which have to be received by Heljan
before 28/2/07.
Source for very small connectors?05 Jan 2007 14:32 GMT3
I'm finally moving a project to assemble an approximation of the C&O #6500
A/B/C TR-3 "herd" out of an Athearn SW-7 cow and 2 calves off my to-do shelf
and onto my workbench.  There are good notes on making a two-unit TR-4 in
the December 1997 C&O Historical Magazine, and I'm ...
Source for VERY small eyebolts05 Jan 2007 14:11 GMT8
In the parts drawer where I keep things like miniature nails and eyebolts, I
found some that I need to get more of.  I've
repackaged them so I have absolutely no information about the original
source, but here's the vital statistics:

"Change River Levels with a Dam Site" 12/06 MR magazine05 Jan 2007 08:40 GMT15
I read with considerable interest the article "Change River Levels with a
Dam Site" in the December 2006 Model Railroader magazine (pp. 58-61).  The
article describes modeling a dam with Tainter gates on the spillway.
But unless I'm looking at Bob Boelter's model photos ...

I've just tonight put together an N gauge set on my lounge dining table
to amuse the kids (and me!!) and it is interfering with one of the
digital boxes in the other lounge but not the one that I am in.
The controller is a Hornby R911 from an OO gauge set from when I was a
