Beware of Paypal as a seller02 Jan 2007 05:00 GMT46
Just got burned big time.  Sold a train to a guy in Sacramento CA back
in Feb.  It was an ebay auction and he paid by Paypal thru a Visa card.
I shipped it USPS but he got upset because it was not UPS.  It arrived
and I got delivery confirmation, no problem.  This was Feb 12.  Then ...

Swapping N-Scale Life-like engine body to another brand?01 Jan 2007 05:11 GMT8
I've had a set of the KCS Southern Belle in storage for a few years and
have decided to try to set up my first layout.  Trying to get up to
speed it looks like dcc is the way to go, so my engine needs to be
upgraded.  Taking off the body I see no room to do anything, aside from
Long-term impact of NiMH batteries in MTH Protosound 1 rig?01 Jan 2007 05:06 GMT5
The 8.4V NiCad battery finally gave up the ghost in my 4-year-old MTH
diesel locomotive with Protosound 1.  A locomotive locked in neutral
isn't much fun under the Christmas tree :-(
I've since found a replacement battery, a 180 maH nickel metal hydride,
