A couple of questions, if I may.
I got a HO train set for Xmas. It is an Athearn "Iron Horse" (if this
matters). I'm a senior and I've wanted to get into this for a long time and
now I have the time.

Seems we got the Maunsell coachs. The Skaledale range looks good as well. I
just paid $37 for a Faller ruined castle as well, oh well.

I am seriously thinking about equipping some of my steam engines in O
scale (2 rails) with DCC decoders. I was wondering what is the most
popular system out there and opinions from people who have used it. I
will need motor control, of course, plus front/rear lights,

Does anyone know the best method of filling in the gaps left by the
rail joiners. Iv'e tried trimming spare sleepers and pushing them under
but they dont look very good, Any ideas?

Just got burned big time.  Sold a train to a guy in Sacramento CA back
in Feb.  It was an ebay auction and he paid by Paypal thru a Visa card.
I shipped it USPS but he got upset because it was not UPS.  It arrived
and I got delivery confirmation, no problem.  This was Feb 12.  Then ...

Does anyone know of a source of new wheel and gearsets for the old Tri-ang
EM2 power bogie?  A significant number of my existing ones I suspect have
been worn oval (the plastic gear wheel).  I am aware of the very nice
Ultrascale items but they are way too slippery to allow the ...

Wondering if anyone knows the name/address/details of any serious
modelling shops in Honk Kong. I would love to get a bargain if at all
possible, but also would enjoy getting a little 'train time' seeing as
