| What traffic was Dapol 'Esso' tanker on? | 24 Jan 2007 16:43 GMT | 7 |
I have just finished the construction of the Dapol 20T class B tanker with Esso markings (Kit C-36). For a kit that has been around for so many years, I was surprised about the basic quality of the model. I know wonder how the real thing was used. I expect it to have been used

| Returning after many many years OO/HO. | 24 Jan 2007 07:00 GMT | 6 |
I used to have a small layout when I were a lad (about 8' x 4'), and have decided to set another one up after having some track and engines (etc) given to me for my boy. The track is a mixture of types. Some looks nickel/silver and the rest is

| Wow! | 24 Jan 2007 05:52 GMT | 3 |
I'm not at all easily impressed and very rarely blown away by a commercial kit, but G C Laser's ladders kit just wowed me. Rarely have I seen anything made with the precision of the pieces in the product. It's probably impossible to build these ladders without a really good ...

| Scale drawings | 23 Jan 2007 23:29 GMT | 14 |
I'm sure that this topic must have come up before, but here goes. I have only recently begun a layout after a few abortive attempts. As an ex-millitary modeller, I like to scratch build and convert models that are not readily available. For me, the inclusion of a breakdown

| Atlanta Brits | 23 Jan 2007 22:56 GMT | 65 |
I am looking for people into British Model Railways in the Atlanta area. We run the local chapter of BRMNA and need more members. We are currently building an exhibition layout featuring HO live steam and would love some more people to hang with.

| DCC and display of loco information | 23 Jan 2007 19:58 GMT | 3 |
I have read the recent discussion on Digitrax v's Lenz and have done some research on the net and I am interested in the Digitrax system. One question I have is as I understand the Digitrax system it doesn't give very much information (such as loco selected, direction etc). Can the ...

Given the length and turbidity of the thread on "highest quality HO trains" I am skipping that discussion and hoping to get some opinions on the quality of Precision Craft Models. http://precisioncraftmodels.com/HO-Scale-c3095.html

| Super Clayton | 23 Jan 2007 00:02 GMT | 1 |
Folks I am not a frequent poster here and still less do I mention ebay. However a manual for the Super Clayton has come my way and this is well outside the normal transport publicity I deal in. To anyone interested

| paint stripper | 22 Jan 2007 20:33 GMT | 4 |
I primed some resin castings with plastic primer and then applied enamel paint. Not a good idea, as the enamel paint won't take very well and has to be applied too thickly which looks awful. Perhaps I should have used metal primer instead. Or should I have used acrylic paint on

I started a Railking RTR set and have already spent about $700.00 already buying more track and accessories and I am having a very hard time finding a single source for my goodies. I mean I got a place for my O31 curves, a place for my 072 Curves, a place for my figures, etc.... ...

| Warley Model Rail Exhibition - Help required | 22 Jan 2007 13:06 GMT | 6 |
At the 2006 Warley Model Rail Exhibition at the NEC, as you went in to the hall, over on the far left was a trade stand specialising in motors and gearboxes for locos. It had a three letter name and was selling (!) specification sheets on the various motors and gearbox combinations.
