King Arthurs delayed15 Jan 2007 00:38 GMT48
Sounds like the Hornby 'King Arthur' & 'Pendolino' models are now delayed
until March 2007 if a report in one of the model railway magazines is to be
believed.

eBay optimist of the month...14 Jan 2007 23:37 GMT62

Simple I know till we hit the realms of DCC, but I'm not on about that
today.. (Or Hornby where they adopted the Henry Ford livery, any ...
Hurrah for local model shops14 Jan 2007 01:16 GMT83
Well, almost.
Much is made of internet retailers undercutting local shops but I
visited/phoned a number over the recent holiday and was pleasantly

Automatic wire stripper advice13 Jan 2007 08:45 GMT16
Rumor has it that you guys are the wire stripping experts when it comes
to the fine stuff. I'm about to buy an Ideal Stripmaster (20 - 30 AWG)
auto wire stripper from HMC Electronics for $32.50 and am wondering if
this is a good buy? Already have one (miscellaneous brand) covering ...
Newbie Question About Switching12 Jan 2007 22:32 GMT3
Can switches be thrown automatically by the last car passing over that
section?
Consider a layout with a large oval, a passing siding on each side, and one
(or even two) nested figure-eights within.
'Digital' control12 Jan 2007 21:18 GMT5
Now that I'm playing with DC powered trains to run on my Gauge1 track,
I'm running into all sorts of questions which hopefully someone here can

Maerklin have their 'delta' controller, LGB have MTS and Aristo-craft
Drawings of rolling stock12 Jan 2007 14:44 GMT19
I'm probably going to have to part with foldy stuff, but can anybody
direct me to a source of dimensional drawings of rolling stock. I'm
looking initially for some details on Pullman coaches, but having had a
bit of a scout round, while I can find lots of images and text, nothing ...
How To Make Window Glazing12 Jan 2007 06:05 GMT21
I purchased a used HO caboose and it had nice clear window glazing
applied. I had to wash the car off and the window glazing immediately
turned white and partially dissolved into an Elmer's glue type paste.
I've been trying various water based glues but have been unsuccessful

Electrical advice?11 Jan 2007 17:54 GMT5
I'm helping my grandson with an HO layout. We got a Walthers turntable
installed with a motorizing kit that require 12 volts max. He's got a
power unit to run the train but the auxiliary output is rated at 15
volts.

Me and a mate are building an exhibition layout using Hornby live steam
(which places the layout in LNER and big four era) and need some advice as
we are both BR Southern guys.
We plan to have a private siding where a suitable directors coach will be
