Brass strip23 Apr 2007 21:03 GMT9
Brass strip: Anyone know how narrow these commonly strips go down to (in
the UK) - at least from easy to obtain ranges, I don't mean thickness/gauge
but actual width.
I'm looking for some around the 3mm (now that we're metricated <spit>)
Engine Decoder Identification23 Apr 2007 15:13 GMT7
I have a few engines that I bought along the way that have DCC
installed. How can I tell what decoder is installed? I think I need to
know the decoder so that I can determine the CV values.I'm going to be
using a Digitrax Zepher to operate the system.
Problems with my Digitrax Zephyr23 Apr 2007 14:51 GMT11
I purchased a new Zephyr today and hooked it up, but I'm having
problems getting things to work. 1st of all I had an Atlas Commander
before and everything was working except I couldn't program my
engines. I assumed the contgroller went bad and wanting to go to
Lebanon NH train show23 Apr 2007 14:04 GMT3
The urge to go and see some trains became overwhelming.  So, into the
teeth of the Northeast storm, I set off for Lebanon NH, some 70 miles
south of me.  The show was in the Lebanon high school.  They had three
big modular layouts up and running, one for G scale, a huge HO one, ...
Railzip22 Apr 2007 22:14 GMT4
I was thinking  of purchasing some  Railzip to apply to my tracks, it says
its friendly to plastic wheels but, is  it friendly to models that have
traction tyres.

Bachmann Adhesion (Steam profile)22 Apr 2007 21:28 GMT8
I am a little cross (non religeous), at the poor pulling power of so
many locos. Most of the GW tender engines are too light when compared
to LMR.  It surprises me to find that the Ivatt Cl 2 Tank is the
heaviest (and best equal performer with the GW Panniers).  As the

The True Religeon21 Apr 2007 19:14 GMT4
There can be no doubt in my mind that the GWR  is still the true
religeon. It even has it's desciples  in the LMS  ( The latter day
GWR).   The holy spirit being Steam  and not Diesel!
Scratch building buildings n-scale21 Apr 2007 16:17 GMT2
I would like to build from scratch some n-scale buildings.  The
bulding I am thinking of would be a run down shack, half under
repair.  Can someone give me basic size directions: Height, depth,
width for a 2 or 3 story building n-scale. Material would be wood,
R.R. model magazines (ie: "hard copy")21 Apr 2007 16:02 GMT30
Hi, I know there are several mags devoted to model RR'ing; but what,
or which would you recommend? Do you have a favorite? Thanx for the
advice.

Mark Mathu's wife satisfies my Manly Needs and Wants21 Apr 2007 00:57 GMT4
She will service you any which way you want to.  One catch is you
gotta wear your train man hat while doing it.  I get 3 days service a
week and am worn out brother in between the service sessions.
Mark can't satisfy her so the service you get is FREE.
Help with Dimensions20 Apr 2007 18:55 GMT3
I'm trying to find the dimensions of a UK rail tanker which was probably used
for transporting fuel.
The overall length of the tank is very approx 8 metres long and 2.5 metres
diameter.
Normoyle Folly20 Apr 2007 17:48 GMT5
