MTH engine/tender question19 Apr 2007 20:53 GMT6
Hi, can someone help me with a small problem, an MTH engine/tender
model 5400  is being powered by a z1000 transformer but refuses to
move. I understand the manual is a little complicated. If anyone has
this kind of engine please tell me what transformer are you using.

Timonium Show.  Empty!  What happened?19 Apr 2007 20:34 GMT11
What happened in Timonium to the show?  Where are the sellers?  I went
there and it was empty compared to the past.  Dozens and dozens of
dealers cancelled so the hall was very easy to move around in.
Somebody must be losing their shirt over the small size of the show?
n gauge19 Apr 2007 18:24 GMT8
I am thinking of putting together a small n guage loop but have no
experience of n gauge at all (some of OO and a lot in other modelling
areas).  I have scanned ebay for locos and they seem to vary hugely in
price.
Digitrax Empire or Chief. Which one to buy.19 Apr 2007 15:05 GMT17
I'm trying to decide if I really need to go to the Chief, or will the
Empire be ok for my system. My layout isn't all that big, 8 x 16 and I
plan on running about 4 - 6 engines (HO) and I may install decoders in
old engines from time to time. I also plan on running accessories with
Which Lok Sound Decoder for PMC F319 Apr 2007 13:34 GMT1
I'm adding power and sound to a PMC F3. Does anyone know which Lok Sound
Decoders the A Units come with ? And do they have Dynamics ? The
prototype certainly did but I didn't see any reference to it in the
manual. When finished it will be an A-B-B set all powered and all with
Hand built track19 Apr 2007 05:01 GMT11
I want to build some of my own track to 9mm gauge but with narrower
flangeway clearances to get some better quality running across points
since some of my vehicles derail on peco points : (
I have been to the 2mm site but I'm not sure whether code 40 rail

BLI - Blueline HO AC6000CW17 Apr 2007 01:20 GMT2
Just wanted to get a feel from owners of the BLI/Blueline what they thought
of their HO AC6000CW diesels.  I'm considering purchasing a couple AC 6000's
from BLI's latest run.  In the past, I had purchased Atlas and Proto 2000
with sound and love it.  I do have the BLI N&W Class ...

Happy Easter!17 Apr 2007 01:15 GMT4
Another sin free weekend here on RMR train board.  Thank God.  Steve
Caple went to church and that is the reason.  Even if it is once a
year Steve God still loves you, he just hates your sin.

Tobacco, anyone???16 Apr 2007 03:42 GMT33
As a  frequent reader, but very rare poster, to this list, I come with
a question.  I am modelling the Piedmont area of North Carolina in the
th period from 1920 to 1935 approximatel;y.  A major part of my layout
will be a run-down tobacco farm. Does anyone know of available HO
Some pics of possible interest (container cranes)15 Apr 2007 21:35 GMT1
Had to take the person I care for to the Trafford Centre in Manchester,
there is a Containerbase terminal next to the coach park thereof so I
beetled over and took a few pics. Not great art (bad light, and I am not a
great photographer) but may be of interest as I believe these ...
