Hints, tips, backshop tricks - Post 'em here.06 Apr 2007 06:40 GMT65
Folks:
I don't know why I haven't thought of this before.  Remember the
MR "Kinks" feature? This is the perfect place to do something like
that!
Woodland Scenics Grand Valley Kit06 Apr 2007 04:27 GMT5
I'm interested in getting the Woodland Scenics Grand Valley layout kit. I'd
like to build a layout, but I really don't have the talent to build anything
from scratch. I would appreciate your opinions and comments on this kit.
Thanks in advance.
Walthers Palace Theater05 Apr 2007 21:22 GMT7
I'm at the point where I'm adding structures to my layout.  While I normally
like to build my own, I recently saw a Walthers Palace Theater available
from an Internet vendor. Has anyone actually seen one of these operate?
They have rather elaborate electronic lighting effects ...

Another building is finished on the scratch built "Houligan's Alley'"
project. See it at  http://www.rrscenery.com
Hornby Pendolino05 Apr 2007 16:12 GMT81
Just having a lok round the Hattons site and saw the Pendolino.  I must
say that even though Hornby said it would not be a 'serious' model, it
does look loads better then the Dapol version.  That's not saying very
much though is it?
Any Model Railway Shows in or near London over Easter?05 Apr 2007 06:12 GMT1

Switching cars at a train show, neat!05 Apr 2007 06:10 GMT14
Folks:
You know how train show layouts normally are, right?
Big or small, they're often multiple nested loops with
dingy ground-foam scenery and dust covers everything
Thank You God.  A sin free weekend.05 Apr 2007 03:52 GMT25
Steve Caple and puppets were quiet this weekend.  RMR train board is
getting back to a sin free version which is nice to see.  Maybe Steve
was in church on Palm Sunday instead of trolling which would be many
prayers answered.

Just testing to see if my posts show up on this group. We changed computers
this month and some defaults may not have been set.

Kato N-scale stuff (for sale)04 Apr 2007 23:35 GMT9
I bought a lot of Kato N-scale track, accessories, locomotives and rolling
stock.  It was one of those things...  I was almost obsessed. ;-)  It's hard
not to fall in love with the Kato stuff.  I set up a lot of the track on a
large dining room tabletop and ran the locos and ...
Critique this track plan.04 Apr 2007 18:31 GMT10
Folks:
Well, after downloading the free Trainplayer demo,
which includes the Rahway and something RR
from "101 Track Plans", I found it to be interesting,
Royal Mail customs clearance fees04 Apr 2007 18:15 GMT25
Whilst at the local sorting office picking up a package, I noticed that
the Royal Mail international customs clearance fee is going up shortly
from £4 to £8.
Your Best Sources for Porn?04 Apr 2007 17:35 GMT6
My porn collection is getting boring and I have to leave the basement
now once in a while. What are your best sources for porn so I can get
some more good DVDs of the good stuff?

Advice requested for model railroad for my two daughters04 Apr 2007 15:19 GMT19
I have two daughters, aged 6 and 3, who are highly interested in trains.
Right now they've been playing for months on a wooden train set set up
in our living room, but I'd like to surprise them with a nice electric
train set, preferably HO scale.
