| Mainline spares | 30 Jun 2007 18:53 GMT | 37 |
Does anyone know where I might be able to get a front bogie wheel for a Mainline Jubilee; or a couple of the smaller nylon cogs that engage with the wheels (not the one reproduced by Ultrascale unfortunately) for a Mainline Warship?

I have just rediscovered this loco (circa 1979) which was part of my first set many years ago. I am cleaning it up and wondered if anyone could assist in showing me which bits need lubricating according to the service sheet here:

| Loco Storage | 29 Jun 2007 22:02 GMT | 9 |
Anybody know where I could get the equivalent to this in the UK http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/295-B2 Except by ordering the Walthers one of course. Assuming that anything in the UK will be long enough to take American locos.

I'm looking for an 00 turntable for a new layout I'm building ( British outline) I need one that is reasonable flush with the surface so as I don't want to cut out any baseboard. Drawn to the Hornby Electric one but note it's designed to work with the Hornby R965 controller. I ...

Anyone know of on-line or hard copy overhead photos of Alco C-425s? Need them as guidance for upgrading the radiator grillwork and walkway on the Atlas model's roof. I have a grainy PRR shot and partials on DL and EL units from the usual online photo sites; they're a little

| Derailing Hornby tender (drive) | 29 Jun 2007 14:08 GMT | 6 |
I've just unpacked my train set after 19 years and built a new layout using Peco settrack/streamline. I have a Hornby Schools and a D49 and the floppy centre wheels on the tenders seem to catch on the more modern finer points causing the tenders to lift off the track and the ...

| Import duties from Europe to Canada | 28 Jun 2007 20:25 GMT | 7 |
I wanted to ask about import duties when buying model railroad equipment in Europe, more specifically in Austria or Germany, and importing it to Canada (Ont.). From what I understood you first pay duties, the level of which appears to be difficult to assess, and then

| Group has died | 27 Jun 2007 22:59 GMT | 1 |
I've been subscribed to this group for about 7 years.....it was an interesting, busy and very informative group. But it seems to not only have gotten very quiet on the railroad side but is more and more full of irrelevant nonsense.

Any electrical experts out there who can tell me where I am going wrong? I have a small layout (4' length - 5 turnouts) that has just undergone a rebuild of the baseboard. During this time I took the opportunity to move the turnout switches from the front of the board and locate ...

I'm new to all this. I had a train set as a kid and I'm just starting up again. I have a Hornby Class 121 R2509 Bubble railcar and I can't get the casing off to fit the DCC Decoder. Undoing the screws is simple but whatever I
