DCC Turntable?26 Aug 2007 20:51 GMT12
I have a motorized Walthers 90' Turntable #933-3171 and am wondering if it
can be controlled by a DCC decoder.  I have a DH123 Digitrax decoder and am
wondering if I can connect it to the track power and then to the AC motor on
the turntable.

Sundeala26 Aug 2007 10:15 GMT20
OK, so the consensus seems to be that this stuff is NOT appropriate for
baseboards.   Mine is built from Sundeala (6X4) at the moment but I'm
planning at the moment so what do I build the base board from?   I'm likely
to be running round the edges of a room with some form of ...

Ivatt 2MT Haulage25 Aug 2007 22:29 GMT25
Has anyone else had haulage problems with the new Bachmann Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0?
I just got mine, and it's a very nice loco, but I tried it on a friend's
layout yesterday and it was having real trouble hauling more than a
couple of Bachmann Mk1s up a fairly slight gradient.

Getting People into the Hobby25 Aug 2007 09:18 GMT10
I've read with some interest the thread "Another one bites the dust" and
have started to wonder what we could do to get people in to the hobby.
It seems to me that price is a barrier to entering the hobby.  A teenager
with a part time job (15 hours) can spend almost a whole week's ...

Has anyone seen and/or operated either or both of these Cab Forward engines
to offer an opinion as to which model they like more?

A report from the Ely-Standard.

book published on railways called "The Birth of the Steam Locomotive -
027 inthis group?23 Aug 2007 15:05 GMT2
I bought my daughter a Lionel Timberline set at a flea market for $20 so as
to feed her interest but keep her away from daddy's trains.
It was missing a car, the track and engine were dirty, the log dump car is
now a flat car and the timber mill is missing a few parts. But the ...

I have used this product on my layout and I find it excellent. However I
