I like the technique in this MR article. Basically, you paint the building with a motor color. Let it dry completely and then use comsmetic sponges to stipple on paint. Eric

As folks may be aware a week or two ago I ripped up my yard(s) and re- laid them. Today was the day I had intended to (a) re-wire the new yards and (b) make a start on some of the more architectural scenery. Well the best laid plans of mice and men, so they say.

I've recently seem some pictures comparing the Bachmann and Hornby Toby's. The Hornby one towers over other OO rolling stock, while the Bachmann one seems quite well matched. Does anyone know if the Bachmann Toby is a reasonable runner, or does it shoot off at high speed like
