Hiya,
Did anyone notice Simon Kohler on BBC1 last night talking to the guy
from Grand Central?  Listen to Kohlers words.  "It has to be accurate
down to the last rivet".  Now he's on about an HST power car which they

If you guys want to argue , go elsewhere . This is a
model railroad group and  was a good one ,but you
guys are ruining it.
All of you should have learned long ago how stupid
Warren Truss Railroad Bridge (pictures)07 Nov 2007 03:17 GMT7
Here are some pictures of the Warren Truss Bridge I built for my N scale
diaroma.  The bridge is a fairly simple construction, using strips of
bass wood and white glue.
The images are fairly large, as I haven't reduced them in size.  With my
Chassis jigs06 Nov 2007 23:50 GMT13
I am looking to start building a loco or two (OO gauge) and would like to get a
chassis jig so I can't blame not having a jig when the loco won't run <G>
What jigs are out here and where would one acquire such a jig?

On a more serious note I'm looking for a couple of 4mm scale "statues" to

Having acquired a few R044 switches I find myself wondering if the
common supply point is in fact the lever fulcrum shaft. Any offers?

N Scale Track & Power Supplies05 Nov 2007 22:16 GMT5
I'm strictly an O gauge person, but I happened to receive an N scale set
(engine and cars only) as a gift. It was still thoughtful so I'm not about
to return it. Plus it's just so damned cute.
The thing is I know nothing about N scale equipment. I've been searching
Hornby Duchess electric pickup05 Nov 2007 12:49 GMT2
I'm just re hashing a Hornby Duchess of Sutherland R066 chassis I've
acquired and can't remember how the power is collected. Looks like its
picked up from the tender wheels and returned via the driving wheels on the
loco.on the other side. Does this sound right? There is a ...

AD: Windows, doors and much more...05 Nov 2007 08:31 GMT10
Years ago, modellers 'made do' with steamroller wheels, locos that
only bore a passing resemblance to a prototype (I remember a 'King'
with skirts!) and buildings who's windows were glazed with bars
scratched on plastic...
Zephyr controller05 Nov 2007 04:00 GMT8
I'm looking for a used Digitrax Zephyr DCC controller... not the entire set
but just the DCS50.  Other than the factory, does anyone know where I might
find one?

American Flyer Penn 310 Problem05 Nov 2007 03:43 GMT3
I picked up an American Flyer 310 Steam Locomotve at an antique store.
Had missing parts and I found some on ebay. I don't really colect S
Gage, but after all this is an circa 1946 Amrican made product and I
had to restore it.

Repowering a Mantua 2-6-0 or 4-6-002 Nov 2007 17:06 GMT2
I'm feeling that my motive power roster is too heavily weighted on the
larger locomotive side, so I'd like to add some smaller engines.  I've been
looking at a Mantua 2-6-0 or 4-6-0.  They also have the "era" that I'm
looking for.  Well, they may be just a little too old, but ...
