I have a Lionel Lines Classic Freight set that comes with a 4-4-2 Steam Engine. The set indicates ability to make smoke, forward-neutral- reverse and Trainsounds. I found the switches for the F-N-R and Smoke under the engine and the Sound Switch under the tender.

You try desperately to bring them up right but 7 year old says he wants a diesel. At first he was just teasing me, but now hes quite serious. Would be grateful for any advice to bring him back on to the right track. Cheers,

Got my new Falcon (early lime green). However, the standard coupling means that the coaches are too close to the engine and derail on curves. Any idea as to an alternative longer coupling? Thanks

I'm going to be stripping the paint off of a couple of MDC Roundhouse combine car shells. In the past, I've used a bath 90% isopropyl alcohol for a day or two, followed by a little scrubbing with an old tooth brush, to remove paint from MDC freight cars.
