Old decals05 Feb 2008 17:02 GMT5
I model Boston & Albany in HO. Needless to say, there is not much (as
in anything) available for B&A so I have undec locos which I want to
decal.
I have a good supply of decals, but the 1st couple of sets I tried
Can I run Atlas and Kato engines together?05 Feb 2008 16:25 GMT30
I have three NScale engines - two KATO and one Atlas.  No DCC.  The two KATOs
run at roughly the same speed.  The Atlas is much faster.  I have 36 box cars.
If I run the KATO and Atlas by themselves (just the engines - no box cars)
they of course run faster than they do pulling the ...
Filth on aus.rail05 Feb 2008 13:32 GMT15
Furthering on from my previous comments about the need for moderation
in Railpage, I'm appalled at the racist, sexist and biggoted filth
that is appearing here in aus.rail.
What sort of individual posts this filth?
Plans for Ceiling Train Set04 Feb 2008 15:35 GMT14
I just created a new website that details plans on how to build a
classy cieling display case for a running model train.  The display
case is mounted only six inches from the ceiling of the room, and runs
around the parimeter.  It allows you to put a train in almost any room

ASdvoce requested: model magazines04 Feb 2008 12:32 GMT17
My Aunt has offered to buy me a subscription to a monthly journal, and
I'm having a devil of a time deciding what to ask for. Would you be kind
enough to provide your comments on the currently available model and
railway magazines. Most mags I've browsed recently seem to me to be ...
Bachmann plans for 2008 on04 Feb 2008 01:16 GMT22
Now available to view at the www.bachmann.co.uk website.
Little more than a Cravens class 105 dmu and a Railtrack/Network Rail MPV,
although I suspect the latter will be welcomed.  Also some Railtrack ballast
hoppers - everyone seems to be doing the 'departmental' thing these days ...
Hornby shambles03 Feb 2008 21:32 GMT24
Just received the e-edition of Hornby's periodical 'Trade Talk' publication.
This issue has TWO PAGES of corrections to the recently issued 2008 Hornby
catalogue, with description and price alterations, and even these updates
still show glaring errors.

Humbrol paint remova03 Feb 2008 16:26 GMT13
Can anyone recommended what I could use to remove Humbrol enamel  paint from
a white metal Loco?  The model has been assembled using araldite ( or
similar)  if this makes a difference.
Thanks

Minimum O31... the fine print02 Feb 2008 17:09 GMT5
I just received a Stationsounds Diner advertised by Lionel as "Minimum Radius:
O-31." In the manual is the Caution: Be sure that the switch motors on your
track turn-outs are placed on the outside of the curves. The car will not
clear switch motors placed on the inside." I can't ...
[HO] Custom-decorated freight car models?02 Feb 2008 04:25 GMT12
I'm looking at ideas for a custom-decorated freight car project from the
small RR historical society I belong to.  We're most likely looking at an HO
model (kit or even possibly RTR), the initial production run would be
somewhere between 100 and 300 cars.
Steam Locomotive Part Name and Number02 Feb 2008 03:34 GMT6
I just bought a LionMaster Western Maryland Locomotive & Tender 6-38022 from
ebay. Two of the plastic parts which hold the axle in the rear wheel assembly
came broken and the rear wheels fall off. I've tried Lionel's site for the
part number to replace the plastic parts, but the ...
