Having watched helplessly as he value of Sterling falls ever rapidly towards the abyss and the price of the hobby ascends at an even steeper rate I do wonder just how much longer it will be affordable. Memories of the disparaging remarks thrown in my direction by friends

Is there a non-destructive way of removing Mainline crankpins so that I can replace the worn coupling rods on my rebuilt Patriot with some spare ones I have lying around?

I tried a google on this but didn't really get a straight amswer. I have two Triang Hornby locos c1972, (class 37 and class 31) both with same motor and the same problem - they don't run ! They are not Ringfield motors but the 3 pole type (?) Hace replaced the armature

I'm looking for tips getting a 20-year old Mantua HO steam loco to run better. It goes ok at medium to high speed, but at low speed it's jerky and prone to stopping. I've taken it apart and worked it over. The chassis rolls easily

How about this Spray a piece of card with same colour paint, scan it along with some old transfers to get sizes. I used 720DPI, save as BMP. Edit and save as different name in paint, open up a paint in BW mode and

A real newbie question, so apologies, but we all started sometime: I need to connect some Hornby R8014 solenoid point motors to the R8216 Hornby Points Decoder, which in turn is connected to a R8213 Select controller.

I called in at my local independent hardware shop today (yes, there is one left) and noticed a small selection of enamel paints on the shelf. About half of them were Humbrol, but the others were Revell and claimed to be ... wait for it .... "EMAIL PAINT" !
