| Telltale construction | 10 Jun 2008 01:14 GMT | 12 |
I would like to build a few telltales as warnings at tunnel approaches on my layout. Now comes the (I hope not too dumb) question. What is the hanging part of the telltale made of? Pictures of model telltales that I have seen are ambiguous at best, and the few prototype photos

| Driving the golden spike, er golden rail joiner | 09 Jun 2008 07:06 GMT | 1 |
The main line of the Franconia branch of the Boston & Maine Railroad (HO gauge) is finished today. A car coasts clean around the train room, no bumps, jumps, lurches or derailments, even when hand pushed at a scale 200 miles per hour. Gotta do some wiring before I can run ...

| Model Railroader Magazines 1936-1964 | 01 Jun 2008 22:58 GMT | 6 |
When my grandfather passes away I received his complete set of model railroader magazines from 1936 to 1964. They are a great source of material as many of the earlier issues were full of scratch built projects. They are also interesting to read from a historical view.
