Help - Atlas SD-35 High Nose  - Dismantle09 Aug 2008 04:02 GMT2
How do you get the shell off the body?
I unscrewed both couplers. I thought then that the shell is just slipped off
but it did not. I tried to pry with a small screw driver, but did not want to
break anything, so I decided to stop and ask here.
What to do?08 Aug 2008 04:52 GMT28
Having faced the reality that I have run out of space for OO purposes
I have contemplated N 55 finescale.  The only problem I have, is the
fidelity of the models available on the rtr market. Some of them
appear to be very unrepresentative of the prototypes but my knowledge
DCC MUed Units Advice07 Aug 2008 15:55 GMT2
I'm new to DCC, and have just added DH123 decoders to my P1K Milwaukee Road
A-B-A Erie Built set.
The loco numbers are 21A - 21C - 21B, which I've programmed as addresses 20,
21, and 22 (since a C-Liner is already address 23).  I'm already seeing it
Am I being paranoid or is someone out to get me?07 Aug 2008 04:56 GMT55
As most of the regular readers know I have been operating my fotopic

for just over 2 months.
New photos including British as well as American model trains06 Aug 2008 19:18 GMT5
South Shore Model Railroad club officially moved to its new weekly
meeting place at Sompting on Wednesday 30th July.
As this was the last Wednesday of the month we held a 'running' session.

Tracion tyres05 Aug 2008 19:54 GMT23
Does anyone know if there is someone / Company that make alternative
wheelsets for Bachmann / Hornby steam locos that will allow traction tyres
to be fitted?  The locos are so light that they slip on even the mildest
gradients with more than about 3 MK1's in tow.
Re moutain05 Aug 2008 13:31 GMT3
A few years ago my mother used I think wall paper paste glue and cloth and
used it to shape cloth with a mold to make christmas angles which she sold
at a craft fair... She said it could also be used for model railroading and
be shaped to use as moutain and also painted and it ...
Fixed Cartazzzzzzzi (well something like that) truck04 Aug 2008 22:31 GMT7
Its arrived - City of Leicester - and its a beaut.
Was prepared to try and replace the truck cos obviously would be wrong
swinging wildly off the track as people were saying. However gave it a quick
run round the s bends and all. Wouldnt have noticed anything if didnt know

Apparently Barry George didn't do it.
So WHO the hell did?
Radius03 Aug 2008 23:10 GMT9
I was just thinking: even in my unusually large "shed" - 27' x 17' -
it would be hard to create a curve of prototypical radius even in N.
Just as well I am into playing trains not finescale :-)

Well I'm impressed by this03 Aug 2008 22:49 GMT2
You know, I was just jumping around, bored really and came across this
interesting thread. You guys really know your stuff and I say this
because I keep up with cars, the gas prices and all that stuff every
day and still learned something here.

OMW! - Barry George03 Aug 2008 20:14 GMT3

"The man cleared of murdering BBC TV presenter Jill Dando has said his

And Barry George, 48, told the News of the World he could not have
