renumbered, or later Challenger orders were give lower numbers.
Problem is, nobody in our club models U.P., and other than admitting

With a little assistance, I have now produced a book of Southern
Region steam loco allocations from September 1950 to July 1967,
entitled "Shed by Shed - Part 5 - Southern Region" (Parts 1 to 4 and
Silly question (for some of you)....05 Dec 2008 19:52 GMT21

it up some of the grades in West Virginia.  They used three or four
locos up front and two or three in the middle.
Ballasting05 Dec 2008 17:58 GMT1
I am thinking about ballasting the layout, I want to weather it though so a

Backdrop-Foreground Transitions...04 Dec 2008 00:49 GMT4
Okay, so I've got the backdrop almost completed, about 60% of the
track down, and most of the structures sitting on the layout to get an
idea of what it's going to look like in the future. Problem is that
while the backdrop gives me a good sense of depth, I'm not entirely
Kader have bought Sander Kan!03 Dec 2008 22:01 GMT165
If you are thinking who, well Kader own Bachmann and Sander
Kan make Hornby's model, so effectively Bachmann now own the
factories that produce Hornby's models! I bet the guys at
Hornby are more than a bit worried about this and it's ironic
Layout design03 Dec 2008 14:32 GMT9
Any tips for transferring drawings onto the baseboards to lay track onto.
Switches are not too bad as I can use the Peco copies, and straights aren't
