Rusty rails04 Apr 2009 15:12 GMT6
OK, I know I am into playing trains and not rivet counting, but
rails in sidings are very often dull, whereas model rails must
always be bright to ensure good contact.  Does anyone know a way of
dulling rail heads while maintaining conductivity?  I thought of

Decoder question04 Apr 2009 02:33 GMT3
I just purchased a Bachman Spectrum 80-ton three truck Shay. I have a
recommendation for a Micro-Tsunami sound decoder, but I have a couple of
questions. The drawing shows a DCC socket inside the water tank assembly. It
doesn't indicate what type of socket it is. Is there room in ...
Please take a look at this its Free03 Apr 2009 22:14 GMT2
I'm Norman. I've seen a lot of different schemes to make money on the
Internet, and I know there are a lot out there that don't work. I have
applied the techniques of The SpiderWeb Marketing System because they do
work. The SpiderWeb Marketing System taught me through 22 FREE ...

I have taken delivery of my first Peco PL-11s.  Only one problem
remains: to come up with a plausible cover story for the great big
thing beside the line.
Or maybe I could cover it with a hut?  Oh, wait.

Hurrah for Peco!02 Apr 2009 12:04 GMT6
Nightmare scenario: carefully ballasted round a point, only to find
it wasn't careful enough and the thing would not lock off.
Fortunately it's a Peco point with the spring block held in place by
metal tabs.  Opened the tabs, lifted off the bias spring and bock,
RTR OO9?02 Apr 2009 07:45 GMT28
I quite fancy the idea of a mine or quarry working with OO9 down to
a standard gauge branch.  Nothing fancy, just a loco and a dozen
trucks.  Is there anything out there ready to run that's worth
having?
Lima GWR Railcar Bogie Units.02 Apr 2009 04:50 GMT10
Could someone point me at a Lima model which employs a similar short
bogie unit? The gears have stripped in my old bus and I wouls hate to
scrap it!

LIFE LONG DREAM01 Apr 2009 09:58 GMT14
I am finally doing it. I have started building a 20'x22' room onto my
house for the purpose of modeling HO trains and smoking my pipe. My
small part to stimulate the economy.
