OK, I know I am into playing trains and not rivet counting, but
rails in sidings are very often dull, whereas model rails must
always be bright to ensure good contact.  Does anyone know a way of
dulling rail heads while maintaining conductivity?  I thought of

Nightmare scenario: carefully ballasted round a point, only to find
it wasn't careful enough and the thing would not lock off.

I quite fancy the idea of a mine or quarry working with OO9 down to

As per title

I am finally doing it. I have started building a 20'x22' room onto my
house for the purpose of modeling HO trains and smoking my pipe. My
small part to stimulate the economy.
